Ștefan Cazacu

Recently awarded in Germanyand Romania, the young cellist Ștefan Cazacu has added two international distinctions to his palmares: first prize at the International Danube Festiva l - Donaufest (Ulm, Germany - 2022) and third prize at the International Competition George Enescu (Bucharest, Romania, 2020-2021 edition).

Coming from a musical family, he has developed his own unique voice, blending tradition with a refined and expressive approach to the cello repertoire. His travelling companion – a collection cello. The instrument was produced over 100 years ago (in 1917), in Turin, Italy, by the string-instrument maker Georg Ullman. A passionate educator, he is dedicated to inspiring and guiding the next generation of musicians. n recitals or concerts - as a soloist or as a member of the Romanian Youth Orchestra - Ștefan Cazacu has been applauded on important European stages.

Laureate of several international competitions, Ștefan Cazacu has performed as a soloist with important orchestras, such as the "George Enescu" Philharmonic and the National Radio Orchestra.

Coming from a family of musicians, he has built his own style that combines tradition with a modern and refined expressiveness. In addition to his artistic activity, he is involved in education and supporting the new generation of instrumentalists.
